Parents wants their children to be advance in everything. Be smart! I know that most parents wants this, so you enroll your kids in preschool. Which is very important. But now a days parents go overboard, they sign up their children for extra curriculum. Such as ballet, piano lesson, gymnastics, soccer etc. I know that this curriculum help them develop socialy and mentaly. But isn't that's the reason why you enroll them in preschool in the first place? Parents let not forget that their children and children loves to play.
How about play dates? Its free, no sign up needed or waiting for a spot. After hours in preschool, ask your children what they wanna do next, they'll say they wanna play with friends. Which I think is not a bad idea. Were adult, and got tired doing our errands. Don't you think your children feel same way. With all the after school activities they get overwhelmed. Play dates is very important to your children's emotional development. Being with their friends give them freedom, imagine, pretend and be silly. Best part NO RULES!
Don't you love being with your friends? Why your taking this away to your children? Let them enjoy their friends. They can do what ever they want, like dress up and be a princess, they can make up games, play race cars, train etc. Don't take this away from them. Let them enjoy being kids. After school activities is good but don't take all the spot for after school, save some days that they can enjoy their friend and be with friends. Having a play dates give them oppurtunity to experience and learn things. The nice part of having a play dates, if your children don't have the same toys they learn to share. Different kids, different toys. Kids get so excited to see something new, and going to their friend house is a real and big treat for them. So why not start setting up playdates now then tell your kids, and I want you to focus in their face and see how it light up. There not gonna say their tired. Being with their friends makes them happy, to play someone in their age is fun. Kids grow fast, so let it be. Kids loves being kids!!!
